Asked to sit on the Board of Directors and assist the community bank's strategic plan of expansion into the Mexican-American market it wished to serve, a planning and architectural opportunity to design a series of culturally branded branches was undertaken.

This branch, an adaptive re-use of an existing single story building located on one of Chicago's angled commercial arteries, presented opportunities to emphasize form, signage and color. As the form breaks with the 'box', the color scheme employed also contrasts with the normal palette of muted tones, and is in keeping with the intended market culture's fondness of brighter colors.
